Suitable for everyone, these walk-in classes offer simple, practical methods to improve the quality of our lives and develop inner peace. These classes focus on using Buddhist understanding to help us solve our daily problems, let go of negative minds and find the lasting happiness we seek.

Each class includes teaching, guided meditation and an opportunity to ask questions. Although taught as a series, each class is self-contained and can be attended individually.

This series of classes will be based on the book, How to Transform Your Life, by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. This practical manual for daily life shows how we can develop authentic inner peace, overcome daily problems and bring about positive changes in our life that enable us to experience deep and lasting happiness.

A New Perspective

Our instinct is to approach life from a self-centered perspective, but Buddha explained that for as long as we do so we will never solve our problems or experience real happiness. In this series we will explore the meditations on love and cherishing others that allow us to step out of our obsessive self-concern, and in this way to open up radically new solutions to our daily problems.

The Healing Power of Compassion

We all want to become a better person and have the ability to help others, but often we can feel discouraged and feel that real change isn’t possible. Through the practice of Taking and Giving we learn to let go of our negative states of mind and start identifying with our compassionate peaceful nature.
