Gen Kelsang Chögyan is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada (KMCC). She has been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism for many years, under the guidance of her teacher, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Gen Chögyan presents Buddha’s teachings in a practical and accessible way for everyone to apply this profound wisdom in their daily life. Through her sincere example, she inspires many students to apply joyful effort in their practice of Dharma.
Other inspiring, qualified teachers, both lay and ordained, teach drop-in classes at the temple and in other areas. Studying on the Teacher Training Program (TTP) or the Foundation Program (FP), they are dedicated volunteers at the temple, and part of the vibrant community.
Rose Hirano is a Kadampa Buddhist meditation teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada. She is a long term Kadampa Buddhist Practitioner and a student on the Teacher Training Program. She is a warm hearted and very dedicated member of the spiritual community, and teaches in various areas around Toronto.
Rose teaches at the Richmond Hill and Orangeville branches.
Christine Reeves is a Kadampa Buddhist meditation teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada. She has been a Kadampa Buddhist and student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for many years. She studies on the Foundation Program and teaches the Wednesday night weekly class ‘Learn to Meditate’ at the Temple. Her experience of integrating meditation into her daily life, makes her a practical and sincere teacher.
Marie-Claude Martel has been studying Kadampa Buddhism for 5 years in various places around the world: Barbados, France, Montreal and Toronto. She is a student of the Teacher Training Program at Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada. Since September 2012, she is the Education Program Coordinator of KMCC.
