Resident Teacher of KMCC

Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada and the National Spiritual Director. A retired General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT-IKBU), he has trained closely with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for nearly thirty-five years. Gen-la Khyenrab is an internationally renowned teacher and Buddhist monk who is greatly admired for his powerful teachings as well as his pure example of humility and loving-kindness.

Gen-la Khyenrab teaches the walk-in classes on Tuesday Evening as well as regular weekend courses. He also teaches the Foundation Program and Teacher Training Program.

Edwin Tubb

Edwin Tubb

Edwin has been studying Buddhism and practising meditation for over 15 years and has taught at Kadampa Meditation Centres in England, New York City, Montreal and Toronto. He uses his experience of integrating meditation into daily life to present the teachings in a clear, practical and inspirational way.

Edwin teaches the Thursday Evening and Sunday Morning classes as well as regular weekend courses at KMCC. He also teaches the weekly class in Etobicoke.

Christine Reeves

Christine has been studying Buddhism and practising meditation for over 15 years. Studying on the Teacher Training Program, Christine is known for her clear and powerful teachings. She shares her experience of how to integrate Buddha’s teachings into the context of day-to-day working life in an inspiring and practical way.

Christine teaches the class on Wednesday Evening at KMCC as well as regular courses.

Rose Hirano

Rose Hirano is a long term practitioner and has been teaching Kadampa Buddhism and meditation for 10 years. Rose is a student on the Teacher Training Program and shares Buddha’s teachings in a way that is applicable to everyone’s busy daily life. She is a warm-hearted and dedicated member of the spiritual community at KMCC.

Rose teaches classes in Orangeville and Richmond Hill.

Sandra Lewis

Sandra Lewis is a student on the Teacher Training Program and has been practising and meditating for several years. She is known for her inspiring and kind-hearted approach to teaching Buddhism and meditation. Sandra teaches the Meditation for World Peace class at KMCC.

Amee Le

Amee Le is a student on the Teacher Training Program and has been practising and meditating for several years. Having met Kadampa Buddhism in Kingston, she has been attending KMCC since 2014. Amee uses her experience of busy working life to impart the benefits of integrating meditation and Buddhism into daily routines. Amee teaches the class at Yonge-Eglinton in Toronto.

Jean Nicholas

Jean Nicholas has been practising and studying Kadampa Buddhism for over 10 years. A student on the Teacher Training Program, Jean is a sincere and dedicated member of the community and shares her experience of the teachings in a warm and practical way. Jean teaches the weekly classes in Nobleton.

Heather Jo Drees

Heather Jo is a student on the Foundation Program at KMCC and regular volunteer at the Centre. Having dedicated time to helping Kadampa Centres in Vancouver and New York, Heather Jo is passionate about integrating Buddha’s teachings and meditation into her every day experiences, and is known for her warm and sincere presentation of dharma. Heather Jo teaches the weekly classes in Niagara Falls, NY.
