Every year, NKT-IKBU organizes a world wide program of special courses on Buddhism and meditation that explain how to apply Buddha’s teachings (Dharma) to modern living. The program includes International Festivals, National Festivals and Regional Dharma Celebrations.
These Festivals and Dharma Celebrations provide a precious opportunity to study and practise the special presentation of modern Buddhism taught by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition.
The events vary in length from two days to two weeks, but whatever their duration, they all offer a vacation with a difference – a chance to break free from the hectic routines of daily life and focus on the things that really matter. You will come away not only refreshed and relaxed but also spiritually re-energized.
Each year the New Kadampa Tradition organizes a number of national and regional Dharma Celebrations. Taught by the National Spiritual Director of the country in which the event is held, Dharma Celebrations provide an opportunity to meet up with like-minded people in your area and enjoy empowerments and teachings from the senior Teachers of the tradition.
The next Canadian Festival will be held at KMCC, June 7-11 2013, with Gen-La Dekyong. Green Tara Empowerment & teachings on the union of Sutra and Tantra.
Visit the official website to register.
The next Ontario Dharma Celebration will be held in September 2013. Other regional celebrations.
International Festivals take place 3 times during the year: Spring, Summer and Fall Festivals. For more details about international festivals, click here
