Weekly Meditation Classes
Suitable for everyone, these drop-in meditation classes offer simple, practical methods to improve the quality of our life and develop inner peace. These classes focus on using Buddhist understanding to help us solve our daily problems, let go of negative minds and find the lasting happiness we seek. Freedom through wisdom
Buddha said that in reality everything is created by our mind. Understanding how our mind creates our world empowers us to change it – overcoming our daily problems and creating a new, better world for ourselves and others.
Training in Happiness
We spend our whole life searching outside for happiness and instead experience much frustration and disappointment. But according to Buddha, the cause of real happiness lies within – specifically in the form of positive or virtuous states of mind. In the book How to Understand the Mind, Geshe Kelsang explains “The 11 Virtuous Mental Factors”, states of mind with the special function to produce happiness.
Each week we will explore one of these special minds and learn how to integrate them into our daily life. In this way we can experience real fulfilment and become a source of great benefit to others.
