Drop-in classes for kids & families
Sundays • 11am-12:15pm
Please refer to the class calendar to confirm dates.
While their parents attend the ‘Thought for the Week’ class, kids can attend a special class just for them. The purpose of these classes is not to convert children to Buddhism but to invite them to make a journey of self-discovery and self-improvement to help them realize their full potential. Through exploring topics such as love, compassion, patience and cherishing others, children will learn the skills to become happy individuals. Each class includes a simple meditation, a short teaching, story time and crafts.
Suggested age: 4-10 years.
At Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada (KMCC)

Children must be accompanied by an adult onsite. Adults are welcome to attend the Prayers For World Peace class held at the same time.
We are a non-profit organization, all profits go towards supporting the International Temples Project for World Peace.
Do I or my kids have to be a Buddhist to benefit from meditation?
No. Anyone can learn basic meditation and experience the benefits that come from having a peaceful mind. Buddhists respect all people and are happy to help anyone regardless of whether they subscribe to another faith, or to none.
Do I or my kids need to have experience in meditation or Buddhism to attend the classes? No. All you need is the wish to improve yourself and the quality of your life.
What do we need to bring to class? Nothing in particular.
Young people aged 10-14 years old will be introduced to meditation practices to reduce anxiety and stress and to develop a peaceful, happy mind. Includes guided meditations, talk and discussion of various topics. Interested? Email firstname.lastname@example.org
