While their parents attend the ‘Thought for the Week’ class, kids can attend a special class just for them. The purpose of these classes is not to convert children to Buddhism but to invite them to make a journey of self-discovery and self-improvement to help them realize their full potential. Through exploring topics such as love, compassion, patience and cherishing others, children will learn the skills to become happy individuals. Each class includes a simple meditation, a short teaching, story time and crafts.
Suggested age: 4-10 years.

Do I or my kids have to be a Buddhist to benefit from meditation?
No. Anyone can learn basic meditation and experience the benefits that come from having a peaceful mind. Buddhists respect all people and are happy to help anyone regardless of whether they subscribe to another faith, or to none.
Do I or my kids need to have experience in meditation or Buddhism to attend the classes?
No. All you need is the wish to improve yourself and the quality of your life.
What do we need to bring to class?
Nothing in particular.
Please note that this class will no longer be held at the Temple but will be given in various locations around the city. Interested in holding a class at your location? Please email email@example.com
Parents and their babies (18 months and under) are invited to relax, meditate and create a peaceful inner space together. This hour includes simple guided meditations and practical Buddhist teachings. It is a great way to enhance baby’s connection with his caregiver and is a great opportunity for parents to cultivate inner peace.
