All classes at KMC Canada provide practical methods for improving our human nature and qualities through developing the capacity of our mind. The program is open to everyone – young, old, working, retired, singles, couples, and families. The Centre offers guided meditations, retreats, drop-in classes, and in depth study programs at the temple, or in an area near you.

So much of the stress and tension we normally experience comes from our mind. When our mind is peaceful we are free from worries and mental discomfort, and we experience true happiness.
The General Program
The General Program introduces basic Buddhist view, meditation and action, along with various other teachings and practices to help practitioners deepen their knowledge and experience of Buddhism. Based on commentaries by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, it consists of weekly drop-in classes, Saturday Classes and retreats.

Do I have to be a Buddhist to benefit from meditation?
No. Anyone can learn basic meditation and experience the benefits that come from having a peaceful mind. Buddhists respect all people and are happy to help anyone regardless of whether they subscribe to another faith, or to none.
Do I need to have experience in meditation or Buddhism to attend the classes?
No. All you need is the wish to improve yourself and the quality of your life.
What do I need to bring to class?
Nothing in particular, however if you wish to take notes bring a pen and notepad.
How should I dress for class?
No particular clothing is required.
